I was pretty healthy and mostly happy with how I looked, but not with how I interacted with the world. The world is not made for large people. I think the world will change eventually, but not soon enough. So I had to budge.

My name is Thomas Tostanoski, and this is where I'll be dumping my brain from here on out. I mostly post about pop culture stuff, and my fiction will live here as well, but there will something quite different as well.

On April 17, 2018 I had bariatric surgery. Modified Duodenal Switch, or SIPS to be specific. I want to have a place to post updates on my progress and share my thoughts on living this life. I'll do my best to mix things up between weight loss posts and fun stuff like video games and wrestling.

If any posts are open to discussion, please be civil. There will be no fat shaming. As I wrote above, I have no issue with being fat. I just want to be able to get around this world without feeling like I don't belong. It's not just people. It's the width of aisles in stores, or the size of benches on subway platforms, or the ever shrinking airline seat.

I have hope that one day the world will be a much better place for big people. Should I somehow gain some thin privilege, my aim is to use it to make things better for larger folks. Should I ever deviate from this course, please yell at me. Thanks in advance.
