Quick update
Things are slow at work, so I figured I'd drop some updates. On Sunday we gutted the hell out of our garage. There has never been that much space in there as far back as I remember. We also located the source of our water ills. It appears that the shop sink down there will not turn off. The shutoff valves are rusted solid. It seems as if the water flow may be coming from elsewhere.
In other renovation news, the bathroom on my floor of the house is now usable again. Years ago, I broke the toilet tank attempting to repair it. Then, when our septic system backed up, everything was routed through that room. It was, to say the least, bad.
A new toilet was installed a few weeks ago. Since then, I've stripped the damaged vinyl tile off the floor and covered the old tile with plastic, so I can walk in there without old glue getting on my feet. I cleaned off the nasty sink (which still has paint stains from the last the walls were painted) and replaced the tube and starter in the light fixture. The room is fit for human usage.
Eventually, we're going to pull up all the previous flooring on that level and lay down uniform vinyl tile. That part of the house includes my bedroom, what was once the family room and now serves as storage, the laundry room and the bathroom. Having a single floor paradigm will likely help us sell the joint when the time comes.
Yes, I just used the buzzword "paradigm" in a blog entry.
I get the Maxima back tomorow from insanse repair work. I bent the rack hitting a guardrail driving home in the snow one night. That's one of the many reasons I don't reccomend living up here.
I'll have more after weigh-in on Friday. Sunday's cleanup was an excellent workout, so I hope to be okay on the scale. I'll rap with you cats later.
